Art Every Day Month – Day 21 – Quickie
That’s what today’s post is. A quickie. (Wipe that smile off your face….)
I’m working on a copper ring which will eventually be similar to one I’ve already made.
Eventually, it should become something like this –
I am also designing a sterling silver brooch, or perhaps it will be a pendant. I’m not sure yet. I’ve cut it. It’s sitting there staring at me –
I was hoping an angel or other loving entity would visit while I’m sleeping tonight and pass their magic wand over my hammers –
I’ll post results when I have them. In the meantime, tomorrow is “Firewalker”, a poem about the opposite of what you might be thinking.

“Wear gratitude like a cloak and it will feed every corner of your life”

until tomorrow…..
Namaste’
I can’t wait to see the results!

I use a jeweler’s saw. I’ll email you instructions – too long for here. Metal ring mandrels can be purchased from most jewelry supply joints and I do everything online. Prices vary so look around. Artbeads is good, Fire Mountain….lots of people. Here’s Artbeads…..http://www.artbeads.com/tool-615.html?cmp=googlebase&kpid=tool-615&gclid=CjwKEAiAhcGjBRDot_fjjtPKrgsSJACNYh761_UkvRkbDIFqUlu_2HeptKtYzymBUl0D5pXBKFVmdhoCpbzw_wcB
Nancy Hamilton is who I get all my tips from. Extensive YouTube library. Funny as hell and highly, highly skilled. She’s also on FB as Nancy L.T. Hamilton. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5w6hJLYtEX0
The sawing thing – took me awhile and still not great at it but don’t let it intimidate you. It’s like anything else. Doable. And a great sense of accomplishment when you get it right. Practice, practice on cheap metal, not silver.
I heard clanking late last night. I’m hoping it was the gold dusting angels at work in my little art studio.

how are you cutting out your silver? I am totally intrigued by that and also hope the angels visited and dusted their wings over your hammers so I can see how it turns out! Where do I order one of those metal ring sizers – do you know? Love seeing the work in progress! Wish I were there to watch and learn!
